3rd & 6 Dallas 39

Perkins gets another handoff on a cross buck to the left.  He picks up just 1 yard.

4th & 5 Dallas 40

Widby is in to punt.  Bird fields the punt at the Oakland 24 and returns it to the 30.

Oakland Ball 1st & 10 Oakland 30

Daniels takes the handoff and heads just right of center for 5 yards on a quick trap play.

2nd & 5 Oakland 35

Here’s a give to Banaszak on a sweep.  No!  Banaszak gives it to Wells on a reverse.  He’s got one man to beat, and it’s clear sailing.  Renfro makes a big stop, holding Wells to just 1 yard.  It could have gone the distance, because the rest of the Doomsday Defense was fooled.

3rd & 4 Oakland 36

Lamonica fakes to Dixon and passes to Biletnikoff on a quick slant.  Biletnikoff catches the pass and picks up 10 yards and a first down.

1st & 10 Oakland 46

Lamonica drops back and gives to Daniels on a draw play.  Daniels gets by one defender, but that’s all.  It’s a 3 yard gain.

2nd & 7 Oakland 49

Dixon gets the ball on a line plunge.  He dives ahead for 2 yards.

3rd & 5 Dallas 49

The clock has expired.  That’s the end of the 3rd quarter with Oakland leading 17 to 7.

Begin 4th Quarter

3rd & 5 Dallas 49

Dixon gets the ball on a delayed handoff, and he cuts wide to the right.  He gets past the linebackers and heads into the secondary where he picks up 13 yards and a first down.

1st & 10 Dallas 36

Lamonica fakes the draw to Daniels and drops back deep.  Here comes the Dallas pass rush.  Lamonica fools the Cowboys with a perfect screen pass setup.  Miller gets the ball, and there’s nothing but striped grass in front of him.  Oh no! He slips on the muddy turf and loses a yard; it could have been a game-clinching touchdown.

2nd & 11 Dallas 37

Lamonica takes a short drop and fires a swing pass to Dixon.  Dixon catches the ball and heads upfield for 8 yards.

3rd & 3 Dallas 29

Lamonica drops back to pass, but he is going to be sacked by Dave Simmons for a 6 yard loss.  That’s a big play because it takes the Raiders out of field goal range.

4th & 9 Dallas 35

Oakland is going for it on 4th & 9.  Lamonica drops back to pass, but here comes the blitz.  Down goes Daryle for a loss of 8 yards thanks to Andrie’s tackle.  The ball goes over on downs.

Dallas Ball 1st & 10 Dallas 43

Meredith takes a short roll and fires to Rentzel on a short post.  The ball is off target, but Rentzel makes a fantastic one-handed catch at the Oakland 41.  Rentzel shakes a tackle and breaks free for another 13 yards.  That’s a 29 yard reception for a first down.

1st & 10 Oakland 28

Meredith passes wide left immediately to Hayes at the line of scrimmage.  Hayes catches the ball, but he cannot allude the Raider defenders.  He picks up just 3 yards.

Perkins takes the handoff and attempts to cut inside right tackle, but he is met by a host of black and silver jerseys for a 1 yard loss.

3rd & 8 Oakland 26

Meredith passes to Dennis Homan wide on a quick screen.  The blocking doesn’t get over in time, and Homand is buried for a 2 yard loss.

4th & 10 Oakland 28

Here’s Clark for a crucial 45 yard field goal attempt with 9:23 to go in the game.  The kick is on the way.  It has the distance, but it curves wide right.  The Raiders hold.

Oakland Ball 1st & 10 Oakland 35

Dixon gets the ball on a line plunge, but he loses a yard.

2nd & 11 Oakland 34

Daniels takes a pitch and heads wide right.  Gaechter gets a paw on the ball and forces a fumble.  The ball is loose.  Who’s got it?  Otto comes up with it at the line of scrimmage.

3rd & 11 Oakland 34

Dallas needs a stop here.  Lamonica drops back.  He fires toward Biletnikoff, and the ball sails high and incomplete.

4th & 11 Oakland 34

Eischeid is in to punt.  It looks like Dallas may be trying for the block with 10 men on the line of scrimmage.  No, they’re backing off.  Eischeid hits a boomer.  It forces Hayes back to the Dallas 14.  Hayes has room to run.  He’s at the 20, 25, 30, 35, 40, and finally brought down at the Cowboy 41.  That’s a 52 yard punt and a 27 yard return.

Dallas Ball 1st & 10 Dallas 41

Meredith hands to Perkins running off right tackle.  Perkins has a hole, and he’s in the clear.  He’s got 5, 10, 15 yards and is finally brought down at the Raider 43 for a 16 yard gain and a first down.

1st & 10 Oakland 43

Baynham gets the ball right up the gut and picks up 3 yards the old-fashioned way.

2nd & 7 Oakland 40

Baynham tries it over left guard, but Davidson is a brick wall.  No gain.

3rd & 7 Oakland 40

Meredith drops back, but he is forced out of the pocket by Lassiter.  He scrambles for just 1 yard before being forced out of bounds.

4th & 6 Oakland 39

Dallas elects to punt with just 5:27 remaining.  Widby’s kick lands at the 10 and rolls toward the goalline.  It looks like it’s headed out of bounds inside the 1.  Wait!  Bird picks it up at the goal and runs with it.  He’s to the 5, 10 and knocked down at the 13.  There’s a flag.  Add 5 yards on to the return as Dallas is guilty of an incidental facemask.

Oakland Ball 1st & 10 Oakland 18

Daniels gets the handoff and runs wide left.  He picks up 3 yards and stays in bounds to keep the clock moving.

2nd & 7 Oakland 21

3rd & 7 Oakland 21

1st & 10 Oakland 46

Daniels dives forward for 1 yard off left guard.

2nd & 9 Oakland 47

Dixon gets the pitch from Lamonica and sweeps wide right.  He gets 3 yards and takes a dive to stay in bounds.

3rd & 6 Midfield

Dallas takes a timeout to stop the clock before the 2-minute warning.  That’s their first timeout of the half.

3rd & 6 Midfield

Daniels gets the ball on a counter and is stopped for a 2 yard loss.

4th & 8 Oakland 48

Dallas calls their second timeout with 2:08 left in the game

4th & 8 Oakland 48

Eischeid is in to punt.  Here’s the kick.  It’s wobbly and doesn’t turn over.  Hayes fields it at the 15 and runs straight up the middle.  He gets to the 26 and is stopped.  The clock stops as well with 2:02 left in the game.

Dallas Ball 1st & 10 Dallas 26

Dallas runs a draw play!  Perkins picks up 4 yards.  The clock stops for the 2-minute warning

2nd & 6 Dallas 30

Another Draw Play!!! Perkins picks up 1 yard, and the clock runs.

3rd & 5 Dallas 31

Meredith drops back and looks deep to Hayes.  He’s covered, so Dandy Don passes to the other sideline to Rentzel.  The pass is complete at the Oakland 49.  Rentzel runs forward for another 8 yards, but he doesn’t get out of bounds.  It’s a first down, but the clock is running with less than 90 seconds to go.

1st & 10 Oakland 41

Meredith drops back.  He looks for Baynham running deep out of the backfield, but he cannot deliver the ball on target, and the pass is incomplete.

2nd & 10 Oakland 41

Meredith drops back to pass, and here comes the blitz.  Meredith is going down, but he laterals to Perkins.  Perkins runs for 3 yards and gets out of bounds to stop the clock with 1:13 to go.  Dallas needs two scores to tie or win.

3rd & 7 Oakland 38

Meredith drops back against the 4-deep dime defense.  He fires deep toward Rentzel, but McClughan is there to break it up.

4th & 7 Oakland 38

Dallas has to convert here or the game is over.  Meredith drops back, and here comes the rush.  Meredith throws quick and hard to Rentzel at the 25, and Rentzel makes the catch.  He tries to break free, but he drops the ball.  There’s a scramble for the pigskin, and Norman recovers for Dallas at the Raider 25.  That’s a first down, but the clock is running.  Dallas takes their last timeout with 55 seconds left.

1st & 10 Oakland 25

Meredith drops back and passes to Hayes in the end zone, and the pass is broken up by Powers.

2nd & 10 Oakland 25

The snap gets away from Meredith.  Garrison picks it up and is swarmed under for a loss of a yard.  The clock is running at 35 seconds.

3rd & 11 Oakland 26

Meredith hurries the ‘Pokes to the line.  He drops back and fires a quick out pass to Rentzel, but he hurries his throw, and it is off the mark.

4th & 11 Oakland 26

Meredith drops back and finds Hayes open on the sideline.  It’s good for 15 yards and a first down, but the back judge rules Hayes didn’t get out of bounds.

1st & 10 Oakland 11

Meredith hurries to the line and spikes the ball.

2nd & 10 Oakland 11

Meredith fires a quick one in to the end zone for Hayes, and Hayes catches it for the TOUCHDOWN.  Oakland says Hayes had one foot on the end line.  This one is going to be reviewed, but it’s a moot point because the clock has expired.  The Oakland Raiders are your Computer Simulated Super Bowl Champions.

Here’s the referee: “Upon further review, the receiver only had one foot inbounds.  The call is overturned, and the pass is incomplete.  Game Over!”

And, with that, we are proud to announce the 1967 Oakland Raiders as World Champions of the Cyber World.  Congratulations to Hewritt Dixon who has been selected as the Most Valuable Player.  Dixon scored one touchdown rushing and one touchdown on a pass reception.

  1. Cowboys Vs Giants….

“The Dallas Cowboys lead the series 54-35-2, but this is the first time the teams have met in the playoffs. Dallas won both games this season, 45-35 in the season opener in Dallas Sept. 9 and 31-20 at Giants Stadium Nov. 11. In the first game, Dallas tore apart a Giants defense that was still learning new coordinator Steve Spagnuolo’s system. The Cowboys had 476 yards and six touchdowns, including two on passes of more than 45 yards. In the second game, the Giants defense could not stop quarterback Tony Romo (20 of 28, 323 yards, four TDs) and Eli Manning threw two interceptions.”

    Go Boys!!
