The Pi-Rate Ratings

November 4, 2007

Pro Football Computer Simulation Week 9

Note: Due to such a high response in the numbers of people viewing the Pro Football Computer Simulation, I will conduct a College Football Computer Simulation for this season.  I will take the top 12 teams and put them in a playoff for the simulated NCAA I-A Championship.  I will take the 11 top current bowls and use them as playoff sites.  In the opening round, these will be the Holiday, Chick-Fil-A, Outback, and Gator Bowls.  In the quarterfinals, these will be the Cotton, Capital One, Sugar, and Fiesta Bowls.  The semifinals will feature the Rose and Orange Bowls, and the finals will be the BCS National Championship Game.   Round 1 will be posted the week of December 3-8.  The quarterfinal round will post the week of December 10-15.  The semifinal round will post the week of December 17-22, and the championship will post the week of December 24-29.

The winners of the six BCS conferences will receive automatic bids to this playoff.  Six at-large teams will be selected based on their PiRate Rating.  The top four-rated teams will receive first round byes.  Teams 5-12 will play in the first round.  The simulation will be reported here in a similar fashion to how this Pro Football Simulation is posted.

  1. I would like to know how I can get in touch with Ed O’Bradovich and aask him about his family history.
    Thanks

  2. You might be able to talk to him if he is still an on-air personality at 670-AM WSCR in Chicago. I have heard him on the air off and on when I have been in Chicago in the past.

I’m sure WSCR streams live on the Internet, so you might be able to listen and call in to speak with him. You might be able to leave info with the call-screener if you are interested in sending him mail.
